Elegant Downtown Apartments

Cozy spot in the middle of downtown for a very reasonable price

Everything as expected as per details provided. Condo location great for Rogers Center, Scotiabank Arena, TTC, GO trains, city centre. Loblaws, Sobey's close by for food and snacks. Train noise was non-issue. Condo very clean with some wear to bedroom carpet, bathroom vanity. Bedroom sheets very wrinkled not up to hotel standards. Conduction stove top is tricky but all else is in great shape/working order. Well supplied with towels, TP, paper towels, dishes. Great water pressure in the shower. View from 35th floor is exceptional, looking west, showing lake front, Fort York and city skyline. On-site parking was very easy, clean, well lit garage..... just disappointing not able to access until check-in. Area feels safe and comfortable day or night. Only frustration is communication with GLOBALSTAY. Would seem most responses are done thru a BOT as attaining an answer to something specific didn't always happen. Building's concierge is not associated with GLOBALSTAY. Just have to be confident things will work out and they did for myself. All in all it's a great place to stay in DT Toronto and would/will do again without hesitation. What GLOBALSTAY promised was provided. By Toronto standards, affordable, great location, comfy accommodations.

Prior to arriving, I had read a lot of bad reviews about this place, particularly about poor communication, the painful check in process, the 'scam' of the security deposit, rooms not being up to scratch and 'weird' guest rules. It had made me very nervous. Be assured - don't be put off by any of the negative comments. Check in was simple. The main thing to do is READ the booking confirmation properly! Simply complete the pro-forma that is sent 72 hours before arrival, provide the damages security deposit when asked, and it is a simple and pleasant self check in experience. The security deposit is not a 'scam'. It is clearly stated on the Expedia booking confirmation it is required, how much it is, and is paid back very quickly. Mine was paid back within a few hours! My room was excellent - 26th Floor and exactly as advertised. A great view, everything was clean and set out as one would expect at a good aparthotel. There are no 'weird' rules. When checking out, guests are asked to put used towels into a washing machine in the room and set it to an economy wash. It's not difficult, and the washing powder is supplied. Guests are also asked to take their rubbish bags and throw them into a self contained trash chute - there is one on every floor. It's not really a hardship! Overall, I had a great stay here. It's in an excellent location, and for the money, the accommodation is a very high standard. I will happily go there again on my next visit to Toronto.

There was a line for the elevators upon arrival, which led to us missing the two-minute window after logging in at the entrance. Apart from that, everything went smoothly. Very nice apartment with excellent location. Would absolutely consider renting again if going back to Toronto.
