    Hotel room seems old, but the hotel building is iconic and very near to the station. Biei is a very quiet town and most of the attractions are NOT within travel convenience of the station. Furano is twice bigger than Biei. The blue pond and the waterfall are 20+ kms away from Biei station. We drove from Furano to Biei station and distance is ~40km. So I recommend you stay nearer to the attractions if you are not driving. The hotel breakfast spread is above Japan standard and offers many fresh produces from Furano / Biei region.

    Room is spacious and clean. Shower and bath is well sized. Nice breakfast with attentive staff. When arriving late, there’s convenient dinner options just across the road. A relaxing environment.

    Room is large and rather dated though it is rather clean. Hotel has this policy whereby guests need to be back at hotel by 11pm. They lock up the front door. You need to call the security to unlock the door. Feels like a prison with such curfew. Wasn't aware of this policy until you checked in.
