Riad La Perle De La Médina

Our stay at Riad La Perle De La Médina began with a few logistical challenges upon arrival and some issues during our stay. These were addressed directly with both the property and Expedia, and we appreciate the efforts made to resolve them. With that behind us, we feel it’s more meaningful to focus on the individuals and aspects that truly shaped our experience. What stood out most was the dedication of the manager, Omar. Once aware of our concerns, he went well beyond what should reasonably be expected of one person—consistently checking in, listening attentively, and doing everything within his control to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. His professionalism, care, and genuine desire to make things right had a meaningful impact on our time there. It was clear that Omar was often compensating for broader operational gaps, and his efforts deserve strong recognition and institutional support. With improved systems and additional support in place, his commitment and capability could be even more effectively realized. Another highlight of the riad is its excellent proximity to the Medina, which greatly enhanced our visit and made exploring Fes both easy and enjoyable. While our stay had its challenges, Omar’s dedication and the riad’s location near the Medina were significant positives. His hard work did not go unnoticed and is sincerely appreciated.

The employees are really nice and helpful! But the rooms need to be worked on. We got a suite where the bathroom had this Oder that we could not sleep at night!! But overall had a good time.

This is an absolutely beautiful property with a lot of charm and exquisite details. The rooms are clean and comfortable with views of the gorgeous indoor atrium. Breakfast is delicious. And the property is located within walking distance of the shops (though it is a maze to walk through so you should get a guide). the staff is very friendly and helpful, though this is not a 24/7 type of place. The property manager is only available during business hours and there is no easy way to find help if you need it. That said, the staff knocks themselves out to be very helpful and treat you like family and I think they keep their eyes out to see if you need help. The two challenges with this property are (1) getting to it. If you try to come using a red cab, those cabs cannot enter this area of Fes. you will need a private car or another type of taxi service to get you to the property. also, GPS gets mixed up in this area and may direct you to a different property which looks adjacent the but the streets are a maze and it can be difficult. Best to contact the property to get guidance on arrival and departure. and (2) there is no elevator. there are narrow stairs to get to rooms. But the staff help you with your bags. Just tough if you have bad knees. Other than those two details, this property is well worth finding and staying in! Architecture and friendliness you may never experience anywhere else.

The property lists free parking as an included benefit, but has no such parking to offer. When I asked where to park my vehicle I was told to find a place on the street. That is not free parking. Despite an empty hotel, I was given a room on the fourth floor of a hotel with no elevator, which felt unhelpful. The building is a gem, which is worth seeing as an example of local and period architecture. It is difficult to find and should probably come with arrival instructions.
