I had the most amazing birthday stay at Lux Marijani. The room upgrade made my celebration feel extra special, the beach was beautiful and relaxing, the food was amazing as they prepared by breakfast at sand bank got special discount on that list but not last the staff provided excellent service throughout even they also surprised me with a birthday cake and they sang for me ,was such amazing and memorable experience, I had a onetime cocktail class experience during my stay by Mr. Doctor. Thank you for making my stay and birthday truly special,i cant wait to visit again.

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel during november 2024.At our arrival we were given a room incredibly close to the power generator room at the building 45-48 that we immediately refused.Then were given a second room without outdoor shower that did not match with our reservation,we also refused,finally at last we got the right room.It was very comfortable and well appointed although the toilet had to be fixed.During our stay also there was a sewer leakage near the pool and we were unable to use the treadmill at the gym because it was out of work.This property claims to be a boutique hotel which is not correct since there are more than 80 rooms located in five or six rows of buildings,definitely not a boutique feeling at all.Most guests had all inclusive plans so they had buffet style meals.The a la cart menu is expensive like a panini for $25 or a chocolate mousse for $22 and also bland and poorly presented like the vegetarian options.The breakfast buffet setting area is simple and hot although the food options are acceptable and the coffee is excellent.At dinner time are different shows mostly with very loud music.With the exception of the next door mambo resort,there is no other good restaurant close by because most of the neighbor properties are also all inclusive. The staff is nice but intrusive,for example during meals different of them come too much to the tables to ask how is everything even interrupting customers when they are chatting.The only value we appreciated is the beautiful sandbar in front of the hotel,however is very difficult to swim during low tide.In general,this was the worst hotel we stayed during this one month trip to Tanzania,Rwanda and South Africa.
