Always spotlessly clean with friendly staff. Vauban is a lovely friendly modern area of Freiburg with easy direct tram access to the city centre.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. Only complaint was the duvee....typical non feather much too warm and the pillow. Much too thick pillow which twisted yor neck. Everything else very good.

My family and I stayed at this hotel while we were visiting a family member studying at the Uni. We were absolutely blown away by the accommodations. The staff was helpful and friendly. Housekeeping kept the room immaculate. The breakfast is excellent. It is right on the tram line, so we were able to travel all over Frieburg. It is right by a bakery, ice cream shop, drugstore, grocery store, an a couple of restaurants. When we are in Freiburg again, we will definitely stay here.

We had a great stay. The property was easy to get to, checkin and out was very easy and staff were very helpful and friendly. A huge bonus was the free transport pass we received from the hotel. The S-Bahn stop is right in front of the entrance which was awesome. Shops and bakery right around the corner too.

If you would like to stay in Vauban, this hotel is excellently located and well appointed. The rooms are bright, clean, and comfortable. The employees are all very friendly and accommodating. I did miss a coffee / tea maker in the room. You can get coffee and tea at the reception downstairs (for a nominal cost) but more independence with that first or last cup of the day would have been welcome.

Parking and breakfast came as an extra at respectively 9 and 18 euro per day. Would have preferred an all in price when booking the accommodation. Apart from this were very satisfied with this hotel and its personnel.

This hotel is great for a city break, rooms very spacious and clean. Parking was not directly on the hotel site, but just over the road and pretty secure. It’s a shame it does not have a restaurant within the hotel, it means you have to go back into Freiburg every time you want a meal, which was sometimes an effort when you’ve been out site seeing all day. The tram line is right outside the hotel which is perfect for getting straight into the city, Freiburg itself is a fabulous city. We had breakfast on the first morning, and although it was good, it was really expensive per head. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked the family room at the Green City Hotel Vauban which was a great size and with the children’s beds in the duplex above the main room which was a great touch. The room and bathroom was very clean and beds very comfortable. The nice touches are a tablet pad computer that connected to the WiFi is provided in the room for the guests to use. A free bottle of water and small bags of sweets for kids also made you feel welcome. Unfortunately room has no tea/coffee making facilities, but you can buy in reception. As this is a city centre hotel, parking is across the road in the under ground carpark at EUR5 per day. But all guests are provided with “free” local Tram/bus pass to use during their stay. With tram stop right outside, it was very convenient to go by tram into city centre (7 stops approx 18mins). We was very pleased with the hotel and would stay again if we were to visit.
