    Great stay, nice hotel for great cost! Stayed here twice! Within 7 minutes of bus and subway. Quiet and has water fountain in room. Truly my go to place to stay when I’m in Seoul to be away from hustle but still connected quickly enough to get to main attractions. On my second stay I even got a free cookie from check in lol.

    At first, the hotel seemed nice (the lobby smelt nice and staff were friendly enough). Please be warned that you need the physical card that you used to book this hotel upon check in. This policy is ridiculous, especially considering that we presented our passports as well. The staff left us with cookies almost as a “sorry” for the hassle, but would’ve just preferred to have avoided this hassle entirely by not having these rules in place. Our hotel room looked great on the surface, until we realised that Hotel Junibino does not provide basic amenities (at least for free). They hide behind being “environmentally conscious” as to why they don’t provide shavers, shower caps, slippers, toothbrushes, bar soap, and any sort of hand lotion. I could’ve gotten past all this, but it turns out that they do not even refill the BODY SOAP in the shower. As I said, there was no bar soap so this is the only way to clean yourself. We ended up using the hand soap for that night. Keep in mind, they refused to refill the body soap 2 nights in a row, even after we left a note on top of the dispenser to replace it. On closer inspection, there was also mould on the bathroom sink and shower area. Finally, although the due diligence is ultimately up to us to confirm how close the proximity is of a hotel to its nearby surroundings and hot spots, I believe that the hotel should also preface their location by telling you how far they are from local attractions. Please reader, keep in mind that Hotel Junibino is NOT in central Hongdae. It is more in Hapjeong, which is 1.8-2km away from the action. Overall, I would caution readers to avoid this hotel and consider alternatives for a hassle-free and clean Korea experience.
