Checking in for really hard. I was late for the check-in for which I was charged $20 in cash. There was no mention of anything like late fee of $20 in the booking. I didn’t had cash so I had to wait for a long time and walk around with person helping me check-in before I enter at the midnight. The neighborhood was really really loud throughout the night and also did not feel safe. There was no temperature control in the humidity of Venice which made it really difficult to sleep well. Could not open window for some relief from humidity beacuse it was really loud outside. I could hear people shouting/fighting. We were given wrong room which was much smaller and not very clean. There were no stuff in bathroom to use or if it was there, it was really bad. Terrible experience

The location of the hotel was also not good. On the way back from the island to the hotel, strange types disturbed us on the street.

It’s close to public transport (tram and bus stop), and about 15 minutes walk from Mestre rail station. There is no potable water and kitchen, just a fridge and a kettle. It’s a excellent value for the money.
