The hotel is ideally located for anyone looking to explore and experience the awesome town of Antigua! Everything is within walking distance with many eating and shopping places very close by. Our biggest challenge at this hotel was finding someone who speaks some English. None of the restaurant employees were bilingual, which made ordering food very difficult. The saving grace was the front desk manager - a lady who spoke English, and had a very impressive desire to help! She did everything possible to make our stay comfortable, translating for us and providing tips for sightseeing etc. She truly went above and beyond for us. The rest of the staff was also very helpful once they understood our needs - Google translator helped a lot!! The amenities at the hotel were very basic - don't count on a hot shower after a day of hiking! The water was lukewarm, even after letting the water run for several minutes as suggested by the printed instructions in the room. We were not able to use the hot tub for the same reason, though a couple of employees tried to fill it up with hot water for over an hour. The food at the restaurant was quite good. In summary, this hotel is ideally located and provides a clean & comfortable stay if you are looking for a place to rest for the night after exploring the region.

Room was great but be aware that if you ask them for any travel recommendations, they are obviously biased towards trying to get you to use their transportation recommendations. Check the prices of any travel suggestions they give.
