The reception was managed by two problematic employees. The night-shift staff member was insincere and two-faced: he smiled to guests while immediately reporting minor or trivial matters to the manager in a deceitful manner. In the morning, guests had to deal with the manager, who was by far the worst of the two. He was untrained, uncultured, extremely arrogant, lazy, and consistently rude. He appeared deeply ashamed of his actual nationality and repeatedly insisted to everyone that he was German, despite his appearance rendering this claim highly questionable. This behaviour strongly suggested a form of self-denial or self-hatred. He had previously spoken broken English, but during my stay he refused to speak English entirely and communicated only with pronounced arrogance. While I was there, I personally had to put the manager in his place on occasion. **Room Conditions and Maintenance – Unacceptable** A major ceiling leak in my first room went completely unaddressed despite continuous dripping. Upon my return, water had leaked onto my bed and damaged my electronics. No remedial action was taken after multiple complaints; it required two full days to relocate me to another room. The replacement room also lacked a telephone—contrary to the hotel’s stated policy. I have photographs documenting the leaking ceiling, water damage to my personal belongings, shower defects, and additional maintenance failures. None of the rooms assigned to me contained a telephone, even though the hotel claims that rooms are equipped with them. Staff appeared unaware of which rooms, if any, actually had this amenity, indicating a fundamental lack of organisation. **Guest Policy and Visitor Charges – Unfair and Hostile** Guests visiting for a short duration—such as an hour to have a cup of coffee—were charged a fee. While a policy to regulate external visitors may be justifiable in principle, the amount imposed was double the standard or reasonable rate observed at comparable properties. In my case, I paid double the normal nightly rate for a female guest to remain in the hotel for only one hour. Having settled this substantial additional charge, the matter should have been handled professionally and concluded without further interference. However, the reception staff and management displayed an unfriendly and uncooperative attitude when I requested to host this guest. Their reaction strongly suggested a lack of open-mindedness—or perhaps jealousy—regarding the presence of a female visitor. Such attitudes are entirely inappropriate and have no place in a professional hospitality setting; once the elevated fee is paid, the gender or nature of a short-term guest is not the hotel’s business. This closed-minded approach was particularly evident with the manager, who repeatedly insisted to everyone that he was German—a claim I seriously doubted based on his appearance and behaviour, raising questions about his motivation for making this assertion so insistently. It was a strange and inconsistent pattern. Furthermore, contrary to common expectations in hospitality establishments and despite the hotel’s claims that telephones were provided in the rooms, none of the rooms I occupied included one. Staff appeared unaware of which rooms, if any, actually had this amenity, further evidencing poor internal coordination. As a result, guests had to physically go to reception for every inquiry or issue, which created considerable inconvenience and compounded the evident lack of courtesy and professionalism. **Food and Breakfast – Neglected and Unsafe** Breakfast quality was inconsistent. Some vegetables and a few items were acceptable, but many were substandard. The juices were terrible: artificial, made from low-quality powder and sugar with no natural content. A machine kept them circulating to fake freshness, but they tasted awful and had clearly been sitting for a very long time—possibly over a year. One taste was sufficient to avoid them entirely. Ap

Very good hotel at a good price; the only drawback is the slow internet in the evening due to network overload. This should be improved.
