    The hotel is very near the train station, which is great, but one side is also along a street where groups of men and homeless people hang out. As a female tourist, I didn't feel so secure walking on that side. Fortunately, the other road felt much safer so we just walked there but we also avoided walking back to the hotel at night and instead took an Uber for safety purposes. The hotel itself is nice but the room has worn out furniture. We had a stained chair and a bed frame with peeling upholstery. The only thing we were very happy about are the hotel staff. All of the young men who assisted us were nice and helpful.

    I saw how small the normal rooms are and chose the family suite instead. Didn regret my choice. Spacious enough to put your luggages and you still have a sofa area and enough space to move around freely. Downside was there was no kettle and hot water available. The shower head was faulty as it was only able to spray water from the center hole. Meaning you kind of get a water jet pressure when you shower. Other than that I love how clean and prime location it was. just 1-2 min walk from Hamburg hbf station. All cafes and restaurants are very accessible. Stayed there for 7 nights.

    When we checked in, we asked the receptionist if we can check in. The receptionist stood there and stared at me, and she shook her hands and head all over the place and said “okay so how am I supposed to check you in if you do not give me your name?”. We have been travelling for 4 months and every hotel has a different process. Some hotels ask for my passport, some hotels ask for my name. Everywhere is different. But the receptionist did not ask for my name… she just stood there doing nothing and yelled at us. After I gave her name, I asked her “why did you not ask for my name?”. She told me I am on holiday, you should not be stressed and told me to be quiet. She is short, slim, and brown hair. She must be removed from the hotel because is is so disgusting to customers. The location is also very dangerous and unsafe. Many strange people with drugs in this area. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
