Good location around lots of restaurants, easy self check in. 2-3 new mosquitoes each night that I couldn't find how they were getting in since the window was closed. Would stay here again if in Seoul.

I loved Naru hostel. It provided what I needed -- a place to sleep and a private shower/bathroom. The self check-in and out made things easy especially since I arrived late. They had toothbrushes and towels (which was a lifesaver because my suitcase was stolen at the airport!). The location was nice -- cute surrounding areas, near cafes and convenience stores, and the ubers to other parts of town weren't too expensive. I highly recommend!

I was given a room on the top floor... the 2 sets of stairs are insanely steep and narrow, which makes walking let alone carrying suitcases up and down a major risk hazard. If you are from the west, you will also have to avoid the low ceilings on the stairs too. The room has A/C and hot showers only last 5min (with 20min reset times). In the first 3 days of my stay, I did not see a single human... guest or staff member, the desk is labelled as unmanned so you will likely check in/out by yourself, which is eerie considering the bag storage area is located infront of a wide open door too. The location is fine, its between the party spots of Itaewon and Hongdae, and its on the metro line to/from the airport, however its not really near any any major cluster of tourist attractions - which is why many people choose to stay near Myeongdong. I got an insane deal as an Agoda Platinum member, so the value absolutely tilted by decision to book this place. But, in peak season or if you are tossing up with other providers of similar normalised price points, I would re-weight other elements to see if Naru makes sense. In summary, its fine for a few nights, nothing spectacular - not the best location for a traveller, but if you aren't pressed for time and willing to spend more time on PT, then Naru could be a good shout :)
