Not an amazing hotel, but perfectly acceptable, clean, some decor a little old fashioned but not tatty.
Harry's bar is in the Good Beer Guide and has decent real ales. Breakfast is always included. Staff were nice and helpful despite the usual buffet chaos in most hotels. Happily hot breakfasts are served to order and were good quality.

A friend and I stayed 1 night for a business meeting in Ryde, twin room, small but perfectly adequate, clean with comfortable beds, great breakfast, excellent value for money, lovely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend

We stayed in a premier sea view room. The view was the only nice thing about it. Carpets were all stained, and the TV remote was sticky and grimy. The shower was in a small separate room with no space to turn around or wrap your towel around yourself. Water was either cold, tepid, or a burst of hot water that offered no refuge — it was painful. Towels and sheets looked clean, but sadly, the room and toilet were just grubby, and I cannot understand how it is rated as a four-star.
Staff are nice and the breakfast is good but again it could be more inviting. I understand the building is old but it needs tlc inside.
