Great location, spacious and clean room. The hotel itself is a little dated, but it was quite comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, there was a big bathroom with shower and bathtub separate. The toilet is also separate. The room came with everything from toothbrushes, body lotion and face cleanser to bath sponges, shampoo, conditioner, and more.
There were also complimentary cold water bottles available at reception, as well as a small Japanese cake-like snack that they describe as a kind of “bread,” which was a nice touch.
The room was very quiet and dark, which made it ideal for sleeping. The only minor issue was that we occasionally heard some piping noises when someone in the neighboring room was taking a shower, but it wasn’t a major problem.
The reception staff were extremely polite and helpful (as most in Japan :)), and both check-in and check-out were very easy. I also really appreciated that they have a selection of different pillows available at reception. This is especially useful for people like me who have neck problems and need a particular type of pillow.
The location is excellent if you’re staying in Chofu or visiting Tokyo in general. Shibuya and Shinjuku statations are about 20-30 minutes away by Metro. Chofu bus and train station are just around the corner, and there are plenty of restaurants, Bic Camera, shopping centers, and other shops within a two-minute walk.
Overall, a very convenient and comfortable stay. The hotel could use some updating, but the cleanliness, amenities, quiet rooms, helpful staff, and location more than made up for it.
