Clean and professional hotel. Value for money

Of all the places Ive stayed in during my innumerable trips to Bengaluru, Langford Keys stands out as disappointing. The photos on their website show clean rooms but here are the issues that really bothered me: We had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights as we were 4. One of the rooms was trapezium shaped, with the bed placed a bit diagonally. The bathrooms of both were clean but their fittings had hardwater stains, the door frames had rusty edges, and in one bathroom there were only shower curtain rings on the rod, no shower curtain! It was also missing the topmost glass slat in the bathroom window...which was a serious problem for my daughter. I had to ask them for hand towel and handwash. The towels arrived promptly but I was told that the handwash was in the wall-mounted bath gel dispenser. Uh. The toiletries were extremely basic. And one big turn off was spotting a Fluff of dust on the snout of the electric kettle. I asked for a replacement. Which I got. The furniture in the rooms looked like they were just make do. Seriously, I dont know what people expect that they've reviewed this place positively. The only one thing that I thought was fine was the breakfast. It didnt have a great range, but the cook was cheerful and dished up some good dosas, chutney, sambar and aloo Parathas. We consciously stayed away from the rooms till we just needed to get there to sleep. These guys need to overhaul their bathrooms and furniture for sure.

There was a cabin right outside my window where someone —presumably two members of the hotel staff — were staying. They spoke loudly and moved around late at night. It caused me disturbance. Get a higher floor if you stay here. I asked the receptionist whether I could check out an hour after the scheduled time. She was well within her right to refuse. But she could have been polite about it. Just "no" is fine. "Not possible" was unnecessary. The live counter served onion dosa but what the chef made indicates that he has never seen a real onion dosa.
