    This hotel feels like a boutique hotel built in the wrong part of the wrong city. I can imagine it probably looked quite splendid when it first opened (what seems like decades ago). It has definitely seen better days. There is no air conditioning when you walk into the main lobby and the lighting is poor. There are things packed away randomly everywhere on the main floor. The room I stayed in is spacious, but the carpet and furniture is shabby and dirty. The air conditioning units in the room are barely functioning (probably just the fan setting for one of them works). The sheets and towels provided were clean and the king size bed was comfortable, the hotel’s one redeeming quality. Pictures online show a fitness center but there isn’t one - the staff told me it’s been closed down. The staff in general are friendly and helpful, but the whole place feels very empty (I may have been the only guest there on the first night I didn’t see another guest). The location of the hotel is good, within walking distance of the upscale crescent residential buildings, crescent shopping mall and bars and restaurants.

    Positives: Staff service 10/10 Breakfast: Although the selection on the menue is limited but the chef makes what you like 10/10 Rooms: Very clean and comfortable The overall feeling is very personalised and you feel like a King living in the castle. And is in the better upmarket part of the city Suggeetions: Negatives No hot water. The river view room has no view of the river apart from some glimpses. The owner should get rid of or repair the faded furniture. I could hardly see any guests but occupancy said soldout will suit someone who likes peace and quiet

    I've been an Agoda customer for a long time, and I've never given a bad review to any hotel I've stayed at. But I can't help but criticize this one. We booked a room here because we found it convenient to get around and eat out since it's near the shopping mall, but unexpectedly, it was very old and smelly. The lobby and hallways to the rooms were dark and hot, and the air conditioning in the rooms wasn't working properly. This place doesn't even look like a hotel. It smelled awful and was dark, hot from the moment you entered the lobby leading to the check-in desk. They didn't turn on the air conditioning, and the smell of greasy food was everywhere. The air conditioning wasn't on in the hallways and in the guest rooms. Once inside, the room was very hot, we adjusted the air conditioner to its maximum setting, but it still wasn't cool. The bathtub leaked, spilling water all over the room when we used it. We patiently waited for about an hour to see if the room would cool down, but it was still hot. There were two air conditioners in the room, one installed by the door and the other by the main bed, but only the one by the door was producing cool air. The other one wasn't, it was running but only blowing air, not producing any cool air. I called the hotel's front desk to report the condition of the room and the air conditioning. They said that because the air conditioner had just been turned on, it needed some time to cool down. We patiently waited for almost an hour, and the room was still hot. We couldn't stay in the room any longer because we couldn't stand the stuffiness, so we packed up and left the room. We went to the reception desk and asked to change rooms, but they told us that it was one of the best and coolest rooms in their hotel, and that the other rooms were worse, so they couldn't change the room for us. That was all they said, without any apology or solution. So we decided to leave, I moved to District 1 and booked another room at a different hotel that same day.
