Stayed here 4 nights in a double room
I already knew when booking that the location is a taxi ride away to everything but with Über being so cheap that isn't an issue
Is in a quiet and safe residential part of the city with a mini mart to the right as u exit
The room was only cleaned when nudged and towels had to asked for at reception as they weren't routinely replaced
On a plus side the AC remote is the easiest I've used on my many travels
Shower pressure and heat was good
The most frustrating thing is how the hotel advertises it's as speaking English speaking first, then Spainish...
That's a total leading advertisement which I feel should be highlighted to others when considering staying here
More importantly I felt like a second class citizen due to my lack of Spanish
The (2 male) table staff chatted and treated the other guests like old family friends where I had 'fight' for their attention. They even brought extras to their table whereas I didn't even get rudimentary attention, due to the language issue. I don't have any issue with this if it highlighted in how they promote itself as a hotel, as I would have stayed elsewhere. Hence why they don't advertise this
On one day when I inadvertently picked up a piece of bread, the only one there, the male with the
'buzz cut', aggressively picked up the tongs and kept on snapping them in my face and talking in Spainish
If this is read by the management I'm sure they'll reply in the usual corporate way in saying sorry and they're taking this seriously and hope to see me again...
Unfortunately you won't see me as I'll stay elsewhere
The above aren't criticisms but personal observations and I'd like to think that my RV is honest and faithful, from a world traveller (see TripAdvisor) who stays in a multitude of accommodations
I write my reviews in a way to help others make a decision. Of course when I read RV's like mine I'll consider the context and read the other places this person has stayed in to see if this reviewer is a 'professional moaner' or a traveller I can trust
