    > Great location near Tanga Market, Kokura Castle & shopping mall. Checked in on 1/10, stayed 3 nights - staff were efficient and super friendly, especially the English-speaking lady on day 1 check in. Clean room, good amenities including drip coffee. Good value. Highly recommended!

    directly infront of the train station. arrived on a rainy day, despite the heavy downpour, we barely got wet. near to all the shopping area and walking distance to kokura castle.

    What I liked (Pros): The location is very convenient, which is the main reason I have chosen to stay at this property in the past. What I didn't like (Cons): Terrible and hostile customer service at the front desk, specifically during check-in. It completely ruined the start of our family trip. Detailed Review: I traveled from Hong Kong with my family and stayed here on March 15th. I have been a loyal customer of the Daiwa Roynet brand and this was my second time at the Kokura-Ekimae branch. Unfortunately, this stay was severely overshadowed by a highly unpleasant check-in experience. We arrived at around 8:00 PM and were assisted by a female receptionist. Due to ambient noise in the lobby, I politely asked her to repeat her English instructions. Instead of helping, she became visibly impatient and her tone became incredibly rude. When she directed me to the self-check-in machine and I didn't immediately understand her instructions, she reacted with an unprofessional, dissatisfied facial expression. Her hostile attitude made my family and me feel extremely unwelcome, and it honestly felt like we were being treated with prejudice. Basic hospitality and patience were completely missing. While the hotel's location is good, this shocking lack of customer care has completely changed my impression of the brand. I will be seriously reconsidering my choices for future trips to Japan, as no guest should be treated this way.
