    We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Heathrow as we had an early flight the following day. Conveniently located with shuttle bus services to and from the airport. Food at the Skybar was good and staff were helpful. I would stay again if I need to stay near the airport.

    A cancelled flight saw us scrambling for somewhere to stay and we chose this for it's proximity to the airport for our early morning flight. At check in we felt unwelcome and like our booking might have been made up, receptionist did have a "training" badge on but had obviously missed the day on customer service. No welcome, no smile, barely spoke to us and just handed us our key while maintaining the look of suspicion over our booking, it was weird. Our room was nice, bed was comfortable and bathroom fine. We went for a meal and really enjoyed watching the planes take off but the service here was poor too. Took ages to be seated and eventually were seated by a staff member from the Indian restaurant they have as he had passed us twice. When our meals arrived I questioned my pizza as it didn't look like what I would chose but was told I was wrong and it was the correct thing, I checked the menu and they clearly cooked the wrong thing (I am allergic to two of the ingredients on the one they sent) there was an apology but it felt like lip service and they were annoyed they needed to correct it for me. The worst of our stay here began around 6pm when an Indian wedding started. While we didn't hear many of the planes outside there can't have been any sound insulation between floors. We were on the third floor and directly above the wedding venue, which I believe has no second floor in that section. We didn't want to be the people that complained but we did ring reception to complain when the bed started vibrating to the music. I place no blame with the wedding party and I hope they had a great wedding but the noise was horrendous and I don't believe this hotel is good for guests not attending a function here. I spoke to the manager who offered a 25% discount which I didn't think was sufficient for the inconvenience. I contacted Agoda to discuss and they were good but requested the discount offer in person if possible, I attempted this at check out and was fobbed of and told the manager would email me and Agoda the next day but this did not happen, I never received the email. Agoda worked hard for us though and a couple of weeks later we were told the hotel had accepted the discount. Thanks Agoda.
