The Central guesthouse

It was convenient, very well priced with very tasty breakfast server as a la carte. Perfect place for travellers, who are not expecting luxuries, only decent, modern place to come for sleep, shower and tasty breakfast made fresh for you.

Our stay at Central Guest House was very enjoyable. The room was large and comfortable and furnished appropriately for our visit. While we did not cook, the kitchen was well equipped with both oven and microwave and utensils, pots and pans, and serving pieces were readily available. The breakfasts were specially cooked for you and they were amazing in appearance, quality, and quantity--very large portions. There were many options for your choice. We particularly liked the vegetarian options and especially the veggie muffins. Location was good! Bus stops were very convenient, with just a short walk down hill, with access to many different routes at the stops. Busses were very reasonable, especially with a multiple day travel pass. We, however, really enjoyed the short 15-20 minute walk into the central city of Valletta, which we took most of the time. Restaurants of many different kinds were convenient, as were most of the major highlights of the city. Walking through different neighborhoods was an interesting way to become more familiar with the city, yet bus stop access gave you many choices. WiFi worked well. There were a couple of small restaurants and a food store close by to the Central Guest House. We also enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and seeing many of the churches and shrines.

Lovely big room. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. Not too far to walk into Valletta, about 30 minutes or so, ( we didn’t manage to find the bus stop), but we were also able to get a taxi easily. Not many places to eat or drink in the vicinity.

A frequent business traveller to Malta, the Central Guesthouse was a great find. Great value, excellent accommodation and very good breakfast, which was included in the rate. Also a decent location, short taxi rides into Valletta, Gzira, Sliema and beyond. Would highly recommend.
