Although this property is being renovated it was pretty clean and quiet. Great location to restaurants and the beach at Lake Erie. They were very short of staff but made it work. Simple decent place to sleep and stay. No frills no breakfast or pool but definitely worth the stay.

My car broke down and I had to be towed there. The next morning the owner/manager helped me, took me to the auto parts store and made sure I got back on the road. The kindness and compassion he showed me will live with me forever. I am forever grateful. He went above and beyond anything he had to do.

On the plus side it was clean. On the negative side, the mattress was way too hard. No bounce at all so could not sleep and ac was too noisy so turned it off. Plus there was only a top sheet, no real blanket. I loved the town and the beach. And they had great laundry machines.

The owners were very friendly and quick to grab extra towels or tell you how to get places etc. the location would probably normally be amazing but between the time of year we visited and the road work that the hotel has no control over, it was a little inconvenient. Otherwise everything was great!

Nobody was there when I showed up to check in. Just a note on the counter saying they’d be back by 4 pm, even though checkin is at 3.

We called 6 hours in advance to let them know we wouldn’t arrive until 1am and just wanted to make sure we would have someone to check us in. No problem when we arrive, he’s asleep at the desk, no problem. We eventually complete the front desk mission, then we walk up to our room on the second floor, swipe the card and nothing happens. We try this for maybe 5 minutes and then walk back to the front desk, he’s gone. Call the number. The phone at the counter rings… so I walk back up to the room and try the card many more times, recording everything. Then we hear a person coughing in the room we are supposed to be in. Wow! There were like 5 cars in the lot and we couldn’t get the right room. So we had to leave and find another hotel. Stay away
