Stayed here as part of an ongoing boutique hotel review series covering Hanoi's Old Quarter. Strong first impression from the receptionist, and the room delivered a little more space than the average boutique in this area. Room has a desk with mini fridge underneath (empty — appreciated), closet with safe, water heater, and enough luggage space to actually settle in. Bathroom is compact near the toilet but has a bit more room around the shower. The AC was impressive — cooled the room down almost immediately, which matters in Hanoi's heat. Breakfast is included and comes with a unique arrangement: a staff member walks you to a sister hotel about two minutes away on your first morning, then you know the way for the rest of the stay. The walk gives you a natural orientation of the neighborhood. Breakfast spread is a step up from the typical Hanoi boutique — hot items, juice, coffee, and à la carte options ordered from the table. Along the walk there's a local smoothie and food spot that's genuinely excellent — wide menu of fried rice, banh mi, and other options, with outstanding smoothies. Returned multiple times during the stay even when staying at other nearby hotels. The Old Quarter location is the real selling point. Step outside and you're immediately in the middle of restaurants, shops, and things worth exploring.

Room space is enough if you do not have heavy luggages. Breakfast buffet is good but you have to walk a few meters to their sister hotel to have it. Location is not too crowded but near everything, bus station, restaurants, shopping street.

Location being in city center is the main advantage. Hotel is built up in residential area. Room size is average and do not have much movement space. Doesn’t have in-house kitchen or restaurant. For breakfast, one need to go to another hotel building on main road. Top floor doesn’t have the lift connectivity. Guests need to carry own luggage by stairs. Room keycard loss charges are high 200K VND. Open Balcony area alongside room is good one.

We stayed at Hanoi Lotus Boutique Hotel for a short stay. The location was convenient and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was okay and served its purpose for our trip, although there is still room for improvement in terms of the overall facilities and comfort. Overall, it was a decent stay for the price.
