Recently went on a business trip to the Matsuyama area and ended up having to stay on more day on short notice. The only hotel available was the Hotel Okudogo and I am glad it was.
The dinner buffet was amazing with great versions of American and Japanese food selection. Since there was a hot springs festival in town they had a lot of tourist groups there for for their on site hot springs so ended up getting a free upgrade to one of their 5 private hot spring rooms to make room in the standard rooms for the groups.
These 5 private rooms were amazing. Very authentic Japanese feel to the rooms and the rooms private hot spring was great. Very clean hotel and the staff didn't hesitate 1 second to go out of their way to help me out.
Only problem I had with the hotel was that is was so far away from Matsuyama Airport, but this couldn't not be helped and does not effect my great experience. All around it easily got a 5 star rating from me!!!
