Herbert Samuel Hod Dead Sea Hotel

It has all that you need for a health spa stay on the shore of the Dead Sea. Breakfast was excellent too!

Hotel is tired and not well maintained. Reception tried to change us from the room we booked. We had to insist on getting the suite with Dead Sea views which we had booked. Car park was full and parking attendant tried to get us to park offsite. I had to forcefully insist on parking in the hotel car park. Restaurant was like a cafeteria. With one exception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I would certainly not recommend this hotel. Only one person, the only woman staff member we saw, tried to be helpful.

totally dissatisfied with this hotel ..at the dining hall the desk pays no attention to directing guests to tables ..its so disgusting to enter a dining hall with dirty tables ,had to get staff to clean a table so that we could dine ..even then wait for water ,wait for glassware ,table still sticky ,buffet area is dirty with spilled food ,no staff pays attention ,have dinner after 7pm there is hardly any food left on buffet ,fruit section is a couple of apples ,staff has an I don"t care attitude with everything ,no towels or robes at pool area or spa ..have to bring room towels and then there are no towels for showering, call front desk for towels ,wait 1 hour for clean towels , pool area is decrepit with cracked floors ,dirty tables with remnants of food plates,drinks, from the outdoor cafe ,no one picks up the dirty towels on the chairs and the floor ,front desk is manned by slow ,sullen staff ,who is uncommunicative ...3PM check in is a joke !! more like 4 or 5pm ..room cleaners are unprofessional ,slow,and sloppy, the rooms are quite nice but not cleaned properly..we had 2 rooms ..same issue in both rooms ..overall I and my other 3 family members will not stay here again .
