This hotel is located close to several restaurants and even has one on site! It’s also near several conveniences like gas stations and stores like Walmart and Sam’s Club!
My wife and I only stayed overnight while attending a Grizzlies basketball game, so the accommodations suited our needs. The facility was clean and quiet. The breakfast was not as appealing as advertised but it was hot and well maintained. The staff that we encountered were courteous but not necessarily welcoming.
Because of the great location, I would recommend staying at this hostel.

Hotels have gotten really expensive lately and most that charge an arm and a leg aren't even clean!
LaQuinta was really nice, CLEAN and in a great location. I would absolutely stay here again and have added LaQuinta as a trusted hotel for roadtrips.

I spent a lot of time researching hotels in Memphis, in the heart of the city. I was particularly interested in LaQuinta DOWNTOWN. As I surfed other sites I received an email from Agoda saying that they were offering a time sensitive discount on the LaQuinta I was interested in, but it was available for a very short time only. So, being very budget mined I jumped on it and quickly booked the room. When I arrived in Memphis I followed Google maps to the location only to realize that this was Not the location I had been interested in, at all. It was 20 minutes from Memphis downtown. I was very upset to realize that I had been duped!!
Beware and research everything before paying as once you book, you are stuck!
I also booked a handicap accessible room but was given a room with a regular tub bath setup. A handicap accessible room should have a wheelchair accessible roll-in shower. This was a big problem for me.
This bargain room turned out to be a nightmare for me.
