As someone who runs and travels alone, having a great spot to rest & recharge after an event makes such a difference! Ong Bun Pension House might sit a little further from race venues - but honestly? It checks every box✔

The location the strategic and in the Iloilo City proper. My room was a fan room. Hot. Choose air-conditioned room.

The hotel has a strong, unpleasant smell that was difficult to tolerate. There was only an electric fan in the room, which made the situation even worse. I also encountered too many cockroaches during my stay.
What made the experience even more disappointing was what happened with my ID. I left it at the front desk during check-in. The hotel made no effort to contact me or return it, and I only realized it was missing after I had already check out.. I had to make the trip back myself to retrieve it. There was also no apology or even an acknowledgment of the inconvenience.
As a solo traveler, I did not feel comfortable staying here. I decided not to complete my stay and transferred to a nearby hotel after just one night.
I would strongly recommend solo travelers consider other options before booking this hotel. Cheap isn’t always a bargain—it can sometimes cost you more.
