Arrived at the unmanned enttrnce door without having received an access code. No contact number posted at the door so could not get in. Fortunately a nearby street vendor pointed out where te manned office was, several turns away. What an exercise in frustration.

Nice rooms in non-traditional hotel only steps from Monastiraki square. Very clean and comfortable. There are no staff (other than the cleaning people) in the hotel, but front desk services are available in the main Tower Hotel around the corner. Downtown Suites has a speakeasy-style entrance down a side alley and was hard to find. And if you miss the e-mail giving the door codes (like because your phone doesn't work in a foreign country) you have to try to communicate through the networked doorbell/intercom to get in. But overall it was just what we needed and a great value.

Other than the fact that i booked a junior suite with balcony and city view but was given a plain room, the property was nice and clean with a very good location!
