An Exceptional Family Stay at Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay We had an amazing family stay at the Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay. From the beautiful rooms to the outstanding service, our experience was truly memorable. The staff were exceptional throughout our visit, from the management team down to every member of the team we encountered. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we felt comfortable and well looked after. The breakfast was immaculate, with a wonderful selection and an equally wonderful team. The staff greeted us warmly every morning and consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stood out. The swimming pool was another lovely feature, although one point worth highlighting for families is that the pool is not manned by staff, and the depth is 1.5 metres. It would be helpful for families with young children to be made aware of this in advance so they can take the necessary precautions and supervise their children closely. Overall, we had a fantastic family experience. The combination of beautiful accommodation, impeccable breakfast, and genuinely outstanding service made our stay special. A huge thank you to the entire team and management for making us feel so welcome. We would happily recommend Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay and look forward to visiting again!

i would recommend it for one night stay only

First, I would like to say that the hotel itself is beautiful and very clean overall. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is large with a good-sized bathtub, the room feels bright and airy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. These aspects made a positive impression on me. However, I am writing to share some genuine concerns and disappointments from my stay, as I believe honest feedback can help improve the experience for future guests. 1. Pre-arrival requests ignored Before my arrival, I sent two emails requesting a higher-floor room (preferably an upgrade or better hospitality option). Unfortunately, upon check-in, it became clear that these emails were not seen or actioned. I was given a room on a lower floor, while a family next door was assigned a higher-floor room without even requesting it. This felt unfair and inconsistent. 2. Room maintenance and amenities issues • The wall in the room was completely faded/pinkish in color (worn out). • There were no tissues provided in the room. • The housekeeping service did not replace or refresh the towels adequately (very few towels). • The soap provided was not of the best quality. While the hotel positions itself as luxurious, these small but important details were missing and affected the overall comfort. 3. Housekeeping privacy concern I had set the room to “Do Not Disturb” (private mode), yet the housekeeper entered and left a card with their name asking for a rating. This felt like an invasion of privacy, especially since entry is not permitted without guest approval in such cases. 4. Service and communication issues • When I forgot my key card and called from the elevator phone, it took approximately 10 minutes for someone to open the door for me. • There seems to be significant miscommunication between staff members – when I called about one issue, the person on the phone often did not know what their colleague had previously told me, which created a lack of trust. • I ordered delivery through an app and called to ask the hotel to receive it for me; they assured me they would, but later I discovered the delivery person was not allowed to enter, so I had to go down myself. • On several occasions, when arriving by taxi or entering the hotel, staff did not open the car door or the main door for me – I had to do it myself most of the time. These repeated experiences do not align with the expected standards of an international luxury hotel. I am quite disappointed with the stay overall, despite the positive elements of the property itself.
