We had an excellent experience at the Holiday Inn Express Hangzhou East Station by IHG. The location couldn’t be more convenient, it’s just a short walk from Hangzhou East Station, which made arriving, departing, and getting around the city incredibly easy. Despite being so close to a major transport hub, the hotel felt calm, safe, and well‑designed for travellers.
The breakfast was another highlight. There was a wide variety of options each morning, from Chinese dishes to Western favourites, fresh fruit, pastries, and hot items. Everything was well‑stocked and tasted great, making it a perfect start to the day.
Our room was spotless, modern, and surprisingly spacious. The layout was thoughtful, the bed was comfortable, and the overall cleanliness exceeded expectations. It felt like a true retreat after long days of exploring Hangzhou.
Overall, this hotel delivers fantastic value, comfort, and convenience. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hangzhou.

Great hotel with great location for public transportation, 3 minutes of walking from subway station which leads to both West Lake or Airport.
Only minor complaint is the cigarette smell in the non smoking room. This is the same experience like many other hotel in China. There are just too many smokers in China and they don’t always follow the hotel rules.
