    Just 200 m, 3 mins walking to Laleli-University Tram Station, very good location and KLOOK day tours will come pickup in front of the hotel, this hotel location is located at some boutique/clothing shops district so its' quite quiet day/night time and few steps away around the corner there's an almost 18-20 hour grocery/snacks store I went there to buy some chocolate/souvenirs. As I took AirAsia flight there to SAW Airport, I didn't know there is a cheaper way and also to skip the massive traffic jam fro/to SAW airport from the hotel. So I just need to take tram from Laleli-University to Serkeci, change to LRT line B1 from Serkeci to Ayrilik Cesmesi, then from Ayrilik Cesmesi LRT line M4 to SAW, so this route is the time efficient to skip traffic jam and cheapest way... every train/tram/mrt ride you can tap using credit card/I use my mastercard, per entry is TRY50 turkish lira, so around our RM4.90 per entry.. except this LRT Line B1 this cannot use credit card so I gotten local uncle to help me purchase a local transport card just for this line. not much restaurants located near to the hotel, but its ok, I booked this hotel with dinner and I MUST SAY the dinner is superb, I feel like dining full course meal, they gave me a bottle of water upon seated, then a bowl of salad, and then main course, and they even serve dessert!! I am spoilt every night and I finished up my salad so after the first dinner, following nights they gave me even larger bowl of salads.. the stay is very good and very luxury... and yes at the basement there are sauna, steam room and a cold pool - I don't see anyone using them, and they close like 9 pm? There's an auntie doing turkish bath - that is just a name, not actual bath, meaning this auntie provides massage etc. at different charge. only the steam room, sauna and the cold pool is free for hotel guest. so overall, i like this hotel for the location, depending on the *** Day Tour, you might be the first to be picked up, or the last - and it seems this location is the last stop if you are taking the Buyukada Island hopping day tour, then you'll be the last stop and that's good, meaning more time for breakfast buffet at hotel. Buyukada Day tour is highly recommended because its not too expensive, and fully cultural immersion. nice day at the island too.. Troy Day tour is also nice and historical. lastly, please enjoy your stay at Istanbul! I will go back to this hotel if I am visiting Istanbul in the future.

    My recent stay at **Hotel Venara** in Istanbul was **mostly wonderful**, and I would still recommend it with a few notes for improvement. Here’s my detailed review: 📍 **Perfect Location** – The hotel is in a **very central** spot, making it easy to explore Istanbul’s top attractions. Whether you wanted to visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, or the Grand Bazaar, everything was within reach! 🏊 **Amazing Facilities** – The hotel boasts **fantastic amenities**, including a **swimming pool, sauna, and steam room**. After a long day of sightseeing, relaxing by the pool or unwinding in the sauna was just what I needed. 🍳 **Delicious Breakfast** – The **breakfast was outstanding**! There was a great variety of options, and the **live omelet station** was a highlight—freshly made omelets to order really made my mornings special. 👏 **Exceptional Staff (Mostly!)** – A few team members truly stood out for their **warm hospitality**. **Seyhmus, the night receptionist**, was incredibly helpful and had such a welcoming personality. The **pool attendant** was also very attentive and ensured guests had everything they needed. However, the **morning reception guy** was a bit **unhelpful**—nothing personal, but his guest service could improve. ❌ **AC Issues in Rooms 606 & 607** – Unfortunately, the **air conditioning in both our rooms (606 & 607) did not work well**. For **two nights**, we suffered without proper cooling, and since the windows couldn’t be opened, it was quite uncomfortable. The front desk was **aware but didn’t take much action**, which was disappointing. 💰 **Good Value for Money (But Fix the AC!)** – Overall, the hotel offers **great value** considering its **prime location and excellent facilities**. However, **proper maintenance of room amenities (especially AC!) is a must** for a truly comfortable stay. **Final Verdict: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐** - **Would I stay again?** Yes, but I’d **double-check the AC situation** before booking. - **Highlights:** Location, breakfast, pool, and **amazing staff like Seyhmus**. - **Needs Improvement:** AC maintenance and front desk responsiveness. **Still a great choice, but hopefully the AC issues get fixed soon!**

    Photos and location on a map looked good. But don’t understand how this hotel is 4 stars. Staff felt very unprofessional and undertrained. Not just that, they were rude. They also unexpectedly came into the room when we were sleeping without knocking at 8am without knocking. The breakfast buffet was pretty much the same everyday and was underwhelming - not much variety. I’ve stayed in cheaper hotels in Istanbul which had much better variety.
