Check-in was confusing to say the least. And the woman on the phone who lets you in wasn’t kind nor generous. A few simple instructions via phone andd Dec in wall would be helpful. Free parking is minimal, so if unless you can figure out where the “rooftop” parking is, expect to pay 270 DKA/day. The rooms are huge!

Nice location at the Harbor and just 200 meters to the center of the town. The room was clean but the interior is ver very old. The state of the room is very poor. Old television, broken glass in a picture hanging on the wall and broken interior or interior which is loose and not hanging correctly. Ugly walls with stains and clear signs that the room hasn’t been painted for a decade. Self check-in which is easy.

Reservation said lock box information would be provided - I thought I would get an email. Maybe add on reservation that there is an intercom system at front door available at all times and instructions will be provided. Worked great and hotel was convenient. Thanks.

The hotel is located at the harbour area and very close to Svendborg city center. There is no reception service in the building, but it is managed remotely from Hotel Svendborg reception (500 meters away) and works well. The rooms are of reasonable size and functional. Good price/performance.

Please check for bed-bugs. We found dark spots under the bed, that might indicate something like that. The shower was not clean at all. Other than that, great hotel. Good and easy check in. The room clean in general.

Clean and tidy. No personal service, what so ever. It is more a hostel then a hotel. Would gladly recommend Garni if you are looking for a cheap and clean room, in the centre of svendborg

Check in is at the Best Western hotel, which is not near. No staff at the Hotel Garni, but that´s alright. Rooms are spacious. Mattress can be quite soft. Internet is fast. Strange that the refrigerator is not working when you leave the room. Shops, a grocery store, the city center, the train station and restaurants / kebab shops are nearby. A good and reasonably priced hotel for short stays.

The neighbours is full of drunk, addicted people with a lot of "night clubs", the hotel doesn't have a lift so you need to carry your luggage to the third floor on very uncomfortable stairs, the bed was not comfortable at all, and the toilet was bad smelling. I don't recommend this hotel as 3stars.

Beware that the check in is 10min away at the Hotel Svenborg. But after mastering that the Garni is a pleasant, no frills place. Can't beat the price.

We did not stay. At hotel garni,after walking up a hill for 4 blocks to check in, we just stayed at hotel svenborg. They def. need to have reception at hotel garni or provide a transfer for your luggage. The hotel rating for rooms is for hotel svenborg.
