    This place is a gem. We wanted to visit Thailand during the monsoon season and my wife and I decided on Koh Samet where we decided on Ao Prao. From the Pier to the Resort everything was incredibly done. The beach views are to die for and the Restaurant Breeze had great cocktails and food! Do try the Grilled Banana and Turmeric dessert - it is one of the best desserts we have had.

    Very nice hotel situated on a lovely beech . On the car side of the island but plenty of other restaurants and bars nearby . The hotel food and drink was quite pricey so used the restaurant and bar next door. Great swimming pool and access to the beach great. Highly recommend

    Great resort. Clean rooms. Amazing facilities. Rooms are up hill so prepare for a walk up stairs. There were many families around and it seemed to be good for them. Good in the restaurant was nice but a little slow with the service. It was raining and everyone was eating though. Breakfast was a pretty decent selection and there are two pools. It’s a little out of the way from other resorts and difficult to get transport to and from main areas. Good for a weekend not for a long time and not for partying

    The resort sits on one end of the bay, which it shares with two other hotels. This is great because it adds variety within walking distance of this otherwise remote part of the island. The facilities are nice and good for the price. Though there is nothing specifically "family friendly" about the place, it isn't unfriendly either. There are three pools, one which is shallow with a water-jet. The beach is shallow for a long stretch and there is opportunities for snorkeling(bring your own equipment) in quite shallow waters, which is a plus for kids. You can also rent kayaks, boards etc. The Fire Show on Friday and Saturday night is fun. The seafood was good, the steaks average. The kids menu was pretty small and our kids got tired of the same thing on day 3. The staff are nice and very friendly with the kids, though service was often slow. That said we had a nice time and Ao Prao is your perfect tropical beach to spend a few days relaxing.
