We really had a nice stay at Hotel Gasthaus Cafe Bavaria. It was so quiet. We loved the balcony and that we could open the door to let in fresh air. The decor really made it feel like old Bavaria and we were smitten with its charm. I would stay here again. The proprietors were so friendly. I wish I spoke German!

Fortunately, there was an English-speaking staff member, so there were no communication issues during check-in. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the free breakfast because we were in a hurry. The power outlets can easily cause power outages, so be careful.

We booked a double room with a balcony. The room cost 112 euro so we were expecting a reasonable level of quality and comfort. The accommodation was quite basic, with the bed lacking support and quite uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the room and its balcony faced a very busy road so it was not possible to enjoy the mountain air by either sitting on the balcony or leaving the window or balcony doors open. The double-glazed windows blocked out most of the traffic noise so noise was not a particular problem as long as the doors to the balcony were firmly closed. The wifi was a problem to start with. When approached, the staff member in charge of welcoming new guests was inclined to argue that there was no wifi problem. When asked to investigate further, she discovered that, indeed, there was a problem. The router was re-booted and the wifi connection improved. A reviewer in 2022 commented that “The lady at front desk had a terrible attitude.” We expected that this person would no longer have the role of welcoming guests. Wrong. It seems that she is still there. There is no longer a restaurant at the guest house. Only breakfast is provided. The breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary, but acceptable. On the plus side, Inzell is a nice little town. We had a nice meal at Glusthaferl Restaurant & Röstihaus, 7 minutes walk from the guest house. Potential guests were being turned away around 20:30 so suggest you book and/or arrive early. The rosti are cooked freshly so there is

The lady at front desk had a terrible attitude. She was mad at us during the check in (no idea what for) and then kept rushing us at breakfast to check out so they can clean the room (that was well before the checkout time)

A typical small town in Bavaria just right for overnight from Salzburg Airport before a long drive while jet-lagged. The hotel was perfectly adequate, with one strange wrinkle--the boss charged 5,00 Euro for every use of a credit card! His check-out hours varied from day to day, with the threat that if you overstayed an hour or portion thereof that would cost another 5,00 Euro. Unusual behaviour...

A typical German pub/cafe with rooms above, It had been refurbed a few years ago and was in clean, good condition but the beds, as most German and Austrian hotels, were very low. bathroom of reasonable size. No lift but a 'Dumb waiter' to carry luggage to bedroom floor. Free parking and free WiFi, albeit only in the main downstairs rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant provides typical hearty Bavarian fare and breakfast is varied and good. Excellent value for money

Good guasthaus with clean comfortable room, only negative is the wifi did not work the first night until we ask the waiter. Self checkin was fine and room was clean and comfortable. Affordable gasthaus close to all the attractions and hikes. Recommend despite the issues withe wifi access the first night.

It was a great experience for me. I stayed the hotel on the way to Salzburg. I wanted to leave early in the morning and the breakfast should be begun from 8:00. But the guy in 60's allowed me to have a breakfast at 7:00. So I didn't waste my breakfast.

WHEN WE CHECKED IN THE WOMAN WAS VERY HELPFUL AND SPOKE GOOD ENGLISH. Some other employees spoke no English. The food was good and included breakfast buffet substantial. Large room with Balcony was lovely. It was a charming comfortable traditional Bavarian experience. Beautiful area.

We used this hotel as a one night stopover and is just off the main road through Inzell. I booked it as it was a convenient place to stop on our way through Germany and because the description said that there was a elevator/lift (my son is in a wheelchair). When we got there it turned out to be a stairlift so I ended up having to carry my son up the stairs and leave his wheelchair downstairs. This was however the only hiccup. Even though some of them spoke very little English the staff were very friendly and made sure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. The parking is free and is round the side and back of the hotel. All in all it was a clean and comfortable place in which to rest one's head for the night.
