We stayed at this hotel on 23rd September 2025 in a family room. The only positive was the late self-check-in, which was quick and convenient. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was very poor. The entire hotel, including the lobby and our room, had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke — it seemed ingrained in the walls and ceilings. We had specifically booked a non-smoking family room as we were travelling with our 3-month-old and 3-year-old, but the smell made it impossible to rest. My wife and son felt sick from it, and I was extremely concerned about exposing our baby to passive smoke. The room itself was as described in terms of layout (basic but with the right number of beds), however the smoky environment completely ruined our stay. None of us slept well, and we were too exhausted to continue with our travel plans the next day. If you are a non-smoker or travelling with children, I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

The hotel is old and smells and the room floor wasn’t very clean. However, the bed and sheets clean and confortable. The bathroom is totally made of plastic. However, we slept well and the staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful!

Very good overnight hotel. Nice and clean, pleasant and very helpful staff. Commercial area nearby with lots of resteraunts also another resteraunt 2 or 3 minutes away. Overall a good choice.

Rooms are really small but clean. The bathroom/shower are very tight quarters. Had to turn sideways in shower to apply soap/shampoo. The man looking after the breakfast was very friendly. As mentioned above, it is okay if you need a hotel for the night and close to the highway.

The hotel is about 1 hour from eurotunnel, so is far enough away not to get caught up in trouble, but because its straight down the a26, is guaranteed to be 1 - 1 1/4 hours to the tunnel.The hotel sleeps four, reception is only manned during the day, but the credit card you use the bookimg generates your key and gets you in out of hours. We slept, used the small but serviceable shower and left. so for 50 euros great value
