The Belmont stands in tree line gardens.. the building is awesome from the out side .. but unfortunately the inside is a little tired..our bed room was clean and tidy, but couldn't open the window due to being painted over the workings .. though there's a fan.. we still found the room warm.. Ie room 10... The staff made the stay with there willing to help and cheerful attitude.. the food was good also.

We had a wonderful stay at The Belmont House Hotel recently. We received a very warm welcome from the lovely receptionist which makes all the difference when you have travelled a distance in such bad weather. Our room was magnificent, above average in size and tastefully decorated. We overlooked the gardens to the front and side and yet it was very quiet. It was spotlessly clean. The en-suite was both modern & spacious. Despite the size, the room was very cosy & warm, we felt very comfortable in the large bed and slept well. We thoroughly enjoyed our Breakfast, again the staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was delicious & prepared with care. We can not recommend this Hotel highly enough! What a gem, nestled in the wonderful town of Banbridge! Great Shops & very friendly community. Put it on your list for a visit you won’t regret it! I had a wonderful stay at this charming house/hotel! The property was impeccably clean and beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The room was well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with a smile. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming place to stay.

It’s definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had I had late arrival and the room type I’ve booked was taken and been told because I’m the last person to check in , they are fully booked so I’ll have to sleep on the single bed ( I booked for deluxe double) , they did offer free drink in the bar as compensation but I’m not here for the drinks, just want to have a good sleep The worse part just starts when I want to sleep, like other reviewers said, there’s group of teenagers having private party right in front of the room, it’s a single glaze window, you can hear their extremely loud nonstop shouting , laughing ,singing until 2-3am , staff told me there’s party nearly every weekend and maybe during the week as well , rang the reception after midnight and they can’t help at all, I’ll have to suffer from the noise for the night , BTW, we are in room 2 & 3 After maybe 3 hrs sleep I was up and need to depart then I saw Trucks are coming to do deliveries with the refrigerator motor on while they stopped engine, this noise could woke you up in the morning if you are still in sleep However, the gentleman served the breakfast was very nice people with great manners

We were allocated room number 7, which we were told was the "best" room in the hotel. However, being at the front of the building with single-glazed windows, the noise was unbearable. A private party was going on, with loud shouting/banging continuing late into the night. To make matters worse, the sounds of cars and beeping horns outside were constant. At around 6am, the noise from delivery lorries was excessive, making it impossible to rest. The dinner was equally disappointing. I ordered a vegan bean burger, which tasted as if it had been bought frozen from a supermarket, and the chips seemed the same. The meal was so unsatisfactory that I barely touched it, yet the waiter didn't even ask why. Due to a private booking, we had to eat in the bar, where the music was blaring over the speakers. I requested they turn it down because it was simply awful, but breakfast the next morning was no different—horrible music, and no decent vegan options other than fried bread and beans. Overall, this was a huge letdown. We had been looking forward to a relaxing evening and a good meal, but it was anything but. I certainly won't be returning and would not recommend this hotel to others.

We have stayed here a few times now and it delivers every time. The staff are friendly and professional, the rooms are lovely we had a king room and it was lovely, however the bed was a bit squeaky and a little hard. Everywhere is spotless. The food is very nice and service is quick on all occasions we have eaten there. If you are staying in the area it is beautiful and the Mourne mountains are with driving distance as is the coast at Newcastle where the mountains come down to the sea.
