Overall it was a good stay but acceptable but cleanliness could’ve been a lot better. There was buildup of scum over the taps in the bathroom sink just needed a little bit more care and attention. The main problem was the broken lift in order to get to the fourth floor, we had to walk quite some distance with baggage with no help and we both have mobility issues. This was the only major issue Staff other than One were very friendly and polite, we would stay again but these things do need pointing out. The balloons in the main foyer on the stairwell also need removing they did look quite tacky and were deflated in in most cases. We did take some pictures which would’ve looked good for the grand staircase but it seems to ruin it because they were letting the place down.

This hotel has a 3 star outside It’s not even a 1 star The room we were given was absolutely disgusting the toilet hadn’t been cleaned urine on the toilet seat and floor bath grubby with black bits all over dirty carpet We spent 20 minutes cleaning everything with antibacterial wipes Curtains turn Lights not working How the reception gives a client a key for this room is beyond me Totally unacceptable Ruined our weekend We normally come back through the day to chill in the hotel We stayed our all day to avoid this grubby room Disgusting We will not be coming back If the rooms are like this What’s the kitchen like Pleased we decided not to eat here

We had to swap rooms first one was 1000 degrees. Second one was freezing and the window wouldn't shut so we had to block it with the dogs towel and blanket to stop draft. Both rooms were filthy thick with dust. First and last time I will ever stay here. Only stayed because our usually place was full sadly.

We had a very bad start of a short holiday in this hotel. We have been allocated a room with a horrible smell, literally we couldn't sleep first night because of the smell coming from the seagulls which probably are nesting inside the rooms ceiling. You can't imagine how bad is this smell and definitely the room 119 is a very serious health hazard and the hotel has to stop to hire it. On top of that, we had to start our staying there by collecting the spiders from the ceiling. On the second day we have been moving in another room, this time with a working window. It was much better, but still a very unpleasant smell coming from the ventilation system. I am a facilities manager and I can't understand how these issues have passed the statutory checks before these rooms have been put on the market. The rooms are clean, tidy, but this smell ruins everything. That's why, unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel to a friend.
