Virtually no sound proof, I could hear whats going on at the reception when I stayed on 3rd floor.
Check in was a disaster. There was close to no hospitality and the reception showed a “thats the way it is” face all the time. I refused to leave my credit card detail (including security code) for my deposit but I got this impatient face from the reception who repeated “filled in everything”. I said I was not leaving the security code of my credit card (what if you use my credentials for paying whatever you want?). I wouldn’t put up my temper if she could simply say “if you are concerned you can pay with cash” instead of putting up an annoying face as if my concern was not legit.

We were underwhelmed by the location’s safety. The guy who checked us in told us on the phone we’d have to find our own parking. Ok fine. When we arrived at 11pm, we saw a lot of sketchy street activity, and in person he said there were public parking places 3-4 blocks away. Not wanting to walk 3-4 blocks that late at night, we booked another hotel with great security not far away. The next day, we went to the room to rest from the days’ activities and saw that there was a public parking place 1/2 block away. Needless to say we were upset. He could have told us and we would have had a much better experience. We took the non-refundable booking as a loss, and a learning experience.

so to start things got off to a rock y start as we wanted to add another person to our room, and the option to do was simply NO!, and what this means is NO! Cannot pay more...cannot have another room...NO!...And its 2am, so finally as the only male in the party I decide to crash for 4 hrs on the lobby sofa as we had a bus to catch early. In the end, I was actually ok with everything. However, in the morning I was informed that the room (bed, bathroom, furniture) were all filthy from stains on the sheets, unclean tub and vanity, and sticky door handles...yuk....what a terrible place....very sub standard tico experience....thank goodness this was only day one....as the rest of our tico experience was ticolicous, tico-friendly. tico-clean, tico-fun, and tico-satisfied!
