The room was nothing like the photos... There were damp flies, the towels were very worn, the patio door didn't lock... however, the pizza at the restaurant was good... :(

Room was nice and clean, personnel was friendly and helpful, breakfast was versatile. Everything was good. Small supermarket was close, it was also easy to walk to the beach and to the railway station. When having small kids, the route would be more difficult with baby carriage.

Lovely room but asked for a cot and didn’t get one for our baby, he has to sleep in his pram for the night as unsafe on the big bed. We had sent a message to request two cots one for each room and they replied ‘ok’ but we had to ask the receptionist for one and prove we had a message to confirm it prior to arrival. We managed to get one cot only for one baby. The Hotel area was nice and appeared clean. Checking in took a while, they requested a £200 deposit for each room which we thought was a lot but we did get this back when checking out. The area is very hilly and we struggled to push prams and suitcases up the hill to get to the hotel. There is a airport shuttle but we couldn’t use this service as our flight was too early it didn’t run till 5am.

We stayed one night. The staff were helpful and the room was great, modern, clean with a big balcony. Everything was clean and we enjoyed a comfortable stay before our early departure to the airport. Highly recomended.

Room had air conditioning, mini fridge, small seating area outside the room. We booked a double bed room, it was two single beds pushed together, and two single duvets. The beds were not secured down so during the night the beds would slide apart. The power in our room randomly cut too, but this issue was quickly resolved. Definitely a humble but respectful place to stay, would definitely come back. My only ‘complaint’ is the free shuttle service starts from 5:00am, and you must book the shuttle 24 hours before you request the service (unbeknownst to us prior to arrive at Malaga Airport). Due to the service start time, we had to book a £20 uber to the airport as we had an early flight home.

I arrived after midnight so the shuttle is not available and this negated any advantage to stay close to the airport. Also there are no elevators on the upper part of the hotel and I had to carry my bags last 15 steps even though there is a ramp to get around the other first 30 steps. Breakfast was minimal so I skipped paying extra for it. Overall, convenient one night location in the area but not more than that.

When a hotel advertises free airport shuttle in its title, this would be the main reason why most clients would stay in this hotel in the middle of nowhere. I tried to book the free shuttle by writing before, they said cannot be done. Then at checkin 20 minutes after midnight, they said the shuttle booking was closed with unknown reason even though I called before and told no problem to check in after midnight. So I felt immediately cheated and difficult to understand the instructions to go up the ramp with luggage (no elevators) to a floor of rooms starting with number 3 when my room starts with 2. Eventually the empathic woman who works at the bar (not the man at reception) helps me with my luggage and showed me to my room with two individual beds in a tiny room with sunken mattress when I booked a comfort double bed room with a terrace. By then I am too tired to go back down to complain about the room. Pros: aircon works, shower hot and the same woman who reassured me to book rider app (16 euros ) allows me to buy a drink to toast for my birthday at checkin. The male receptionist did offer me a free morning coffee. I leave it to the readers to decide would you stay in this hotel when center of malaga is only 10 mins more from the airport than this hotel. I slept for two hours before my 7:15 am flight

A pleasant 6 night stay. Not far from the airport with airport transfer to and back. Decent quiet location, if you don’t mins walking to the centre. However they do offer free shuttle service to the beach and train station if you want to travel to other resorts and Malaga.

Second time stopping at hotel zen for 3/4 day trips. Last trip 07/22. Staff brilliant, rooms clean, and only 10 minutes from the airport. Pool area kept clean and communal areas kept clean. Communication was very good, we made an error on our booking and hotel zen were quick to message us and rectify the problem for us. The only negative if you can even call it that was due to our late flights in and early flight out the free shuttle to and from the airport was not available, this was communicated to us by the hotel prior to departing, this was not an issue for us and we picked up a bolt taxi on the app for less than €10. We used the shuttle down to the beach and it was on time both ways and very welcome in the heat and saving us the walk back. Would definitely reccommend hotel zen for short stays and would not hesitate to go back again.

We stayed at Zen Hotel Torremolinos for 5 days. While 75% of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean with daily towel changes, there were several issues that affected our stay negatively. For 2 days, there were power outages for hours during the daytime, leaving us without AC in the summer heat. Our minibar food was spoiled. When I politely asked about the situation, the receptionist replied, “It’s not our problem; we contacted the electricity provider,” showing no empathy or apology. The Wi-Fi barely worked, disconnecting constantly. The power outlet near the bed was broken, and the room was much smaller than shown online, with no side or coffee table. We got a kettle upon request, but no cups or tea. Bedsheets were not changed at all during the stay. The walls are thin, so we could hear neighbors using the bathroom, and the bathroom vent was extremely loud, like a train. The pool is nice, but closes at 8 PM — too early for summer evenings, and even the seating area around it is closed at that time. Overall, the hotel has potential, but needs serious improvements in service, communication, and basic amenities to meet guest expectations.
