The hotel is 100% perfect the view is amazing staff is amazing breakfast and the rooms are clean I will use the hotel whenever am in Durban

I've been booking at The Parade Hotel for years, but unfortunately this year it was a disaster. We booked in April and asked for rooms in 5th floor. Upon arrival, we were allocated 2 rooms, 1 on the first floor and the other o the 4th floor, we had to fight for this to be sorted out. Breakfast was not nice at all this time, very basic with a few things to offer and all the food was too salty. The kitchen staff was too unfriendly, looked like they didn't want to talk and we forced to talk to them, even when we asked for a simple cuppachino. The cleaning staff was friendly, however our rooms were cleaned very late. Security was ok, insisted that we leave our drinks in the storeroom, which we did, we went to our room to bath, when we came back, security gave someone else our drinks (as we were not allowed to take alcohol to our rooms). Our drinks went missing. However security found the guest he gave alcohol to, he replaced with his and said he will go buy more, he didn't, our alcohol was gone. Security was rude, reception was rude. I didn't enjoy my stay as usual, i don't think i will ever go back. Everything was terrible this time around.
