    MELO did not disappoint. Boutique style accommodation thats in the heart of Psirri. Dozens of restaurants at your door and a vibrant vibe that goes well past midnight. Not the most quiet location but perfect for night owls and those who want to be in the thick of the action. Didn’t interact with staff outside of checkin and checkout, but they were friendly and we enjoyed the free cafe breakfast each day.

    This hotel is centrally located on a busy internal street next to several restaurants. Negatives: there is no fire safety measure in this hotel. I stayed in room 202, there is no information about what to do in case of fire. This room has one window, covered by grills. All rooms and hotel entry-exit are controlled by electronic locks and after 10pm there is no staff at the hotel. Usually, in case of fire lifts and electrical systems get disabled and this would mean anyone trapped would not be able to escape. When I raised this reception girl, she unfortunately had no clue about fire safety. Second issue is about Jacuzzi. When I switched it on, lot of dirt came out through jet sprays from both sides and as a result I couldn’t use the jacuzzi. This was highlighted to reception and I was informed that I need to fill and empty the tub 3 times before using it. This is not mentioned in the information card in the room and it takes long time to fill the tub even once and doing it 3 times would mean spending at least 1 hour to do this.

    Perfect location, nice big room. The staff is absolutely amazing, welcoming and helpful. Thanks!! The breakfast was a bit less then we expected but it's still good.

    Very well-located property near Monastiraki metro station, lots of eateries nearby that are open till 3am, and some even upto 5am. We arrived very late around 9pm, were staying in Athens for one night only, to take a ferry next morning to Mykonos. The concierge was very helpful to book a ferry ticket for us (my card was not working) and we paid them in cash. We really appreciated that. But what we didn't like is that we were departing from the hotel at 5.30am next morning. We requested a pre-packed breakfast or perhaps a small refund for the breakfast portion in case they can't prepare for us. We did not receive any breakfast. I even sent an email to the property for a small refund for the breakfast that we couldn't eat. I did not hear back from them. Doesn't reflect good on the property staff. Overall, room was clean, good location.
