properly was nice, checking was early and easy EXCEPT that they mentioned that on Saturday time shares arrived and we would had to move rooms, we were a family of 6 with kids, so we were not very thrilled when they mentioned that we have to move rooms after being there already, BUT they were able to accommodate and we stayed in the same room for the entire vacation. Seconds personals that are trying to sell shares are kinda pushy, I stay there a week with the family and 4 of the staff we’re trying anything to make me go to the seminar, I mentioned to all that we were not interested but they keep insisting..overall the place is nice for a family, restaurants staff are very friendly and helpful.. quite at night as well.

Still a Beautiful Resort, But Not Quite the Same Royal Sands We Remember We stayed over 11 years ago, and we always looked back fondly on our time there. We thought it would be a great place to take our new grandbaby, daughter, and son-in-law. The property is still lovely, although not quite the urgency in cleaning and maintenance as before. There was a rather disgusting mess in the main pool when we arrived that I immediately reported. I expected them to clear the area to clean it, but they allowed people to stay nearby while they figured out what to do. My daughter's room had a sink leak that soaked through all of her towels, and they waited until the next day to fix it. The plumbing struggled in parts of the hotel as well. The all inclusive package has a lot of upgraded charges needed in order to take advantage of a truefive star experience. The last time we stayed, we weren't upcharged for things like Titos or better wines, steak, lobster, etc., but this time, expect to pay. Also, the tipping is excessive. They actually take your room key at meals and bars, give you a "zeroed" receipt (if you stay in the all inclusive package) and then have a tip line. We typically brought pesos and tipped before, and since "tips are included," we just gave pesos here and there. With the line each and every meal, you are pressured. We spent between 50USD-70USD /day on tips. Some of the staff were nice while others were not. Security, especially, could use some work.
