Modern hotel in a good location . Good pool and plenty of sunbeds . Breakfast starts too late (8:30) and bar shuts too early (11:15) , staff have no flexibility .

I stayed at this property for 3 days.I liked that the beach was within walking distance from the hotel. I enjoyed the cafe con leche from the bar. The staff was helpful...but not very welcoming. The pool area was nice especially the two jacuzzis upstairs however the timer on them was malfunctioning.

The hotel was in a great location a five minute walk from the beach. Good breakfast and nice pool beds and pool. Service was good overall. The rooms were nice and clean but they were not very soundproof. You could hear a lot of chairs being pushed and pulled around on balconies and people talking late at night which did not aid with good sleep. This is something that could hopefully improve.

Despite its four-star claims, the Essence Hotel in Torremolinos delivered a disappointing experience from start to finish. The front desk staff were consistently rude and unhelpful, making even simple requests feel like an inconvenience. Although I was given a voucher for a welcome drink, I was met with eye-rolling from the bartender when I tried to redeem it — which made me wonder why they offer it at all. Towel service was frustrating: not mentioned at check-in, only available at the front desk, and limited to one exchange per day before 3:00 PM. When I inquired, I was ignored for five minutes while the staff took a phone call, and I eventually walked away. I was also given no help when I asked for dining recommendations near the beach, assistance with mailing a stamped postcard, or even directions to the nearest mailbox — ironically, my Uber driver was far more helpful than anyone at the hotel. Because of the poor service, I avoided spending another cent on the property, including dining. The dismissive attitude left no desire to support the hotel further. The facilities looked nice but didn’t function well — the A/C had no fan control, and the bathroom fan blasted every time you turned on the light. It’s more a three-star property wearing a four-star label. Overall, a stylish exterior couldn’t make up for the lack of hospitality. I won’t be returning — and wouldn’t recommend it.

It was a great 3 night stay, the facilities were great, staff friendly and for a couple the hotel had everything we would need or want. Only downer for us was the room location. Directly above the main entrance so heard everyone coming and going very clearly, facing a main road with buses and Lorrie’s going up and down and internally opposite the lift and stairs so heard everyone on our floor coming and going. We would absolutely visit again but request a different room location if possible.

The property was well-maintained and pleasantly quiet, especially considering its location right in the middle of the busy coastline and restaurants — perfect for a relaxing getaway. We were pleasantly surprised at the location and how nice this hotel was. It was exactly what we were looking for. It has a very nice pool area. Very minor suggestions: shower doors make loud noises when closing. 2 luggage racks would be great.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The entire property was very clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. One of the highlights was the heated pool with plenty of lounge beds available—it was a perfect spot to relax. The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The service throughout my stay was top-notch and made me feel very welcome. The only downside was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. If you're facing the street, you will hear traffic noise, people talking outside which could be a disturbance for light sleepers. That said, the positives far outweighed the negatives, and I would happily stay here again.

Spent 8 days here over the Christmas period. As a solo traveller it was perfect. Room was cleaned daily along with all the communal areas which were spotless. The heated pool and jacuzzi were amazing for a stay in December. Situated close to the beach/promenade. I was room only so cannot comment on food. A perfect stay. I will definitely return

The staff were lovely. The room was comfortable, light, and clean. The tv had English channels, which was great after a long day sight seeing. The shower was excellent. I can't comment on the restaurant, as it was closed for the week. However the hotel set out drinks and small breakfast pastries, which were tasty. It's an easy walk into the main town (if you use the lift, as the hill was steep!). Very good value for money.

This is a super nice hotel. Great location within walking distance to the beach. Lovely pool, hot tubs and sauna. 3-4 really good restaurants adjacent to the hotel. Plus a bar in the lobby open until 11 pm. Excellent value.

the hotel has the ambition to be a 4 star, but has some way to go. the reception staff were very nice and helpful especially like to mention, Alexsander and Patricia.The breakfast buffe, was good but started only 08.30. the hotel has a very good location, 3 minutes walk to beach, ca 15-20 minutes to airport and ca 8-10 minutes by car to Plaza Mayor the big shopping center.

Staff was very welcoming and friendly informative. Pool and jacuzzi were open 24/7. Towels available. Beach 1 block away for scenic walk either left or right on boardwalk. Breakfast was decent. Would stay there again.
