When we checked into the hotel and went to our room we were shocked to find mold all over the walls. we went to the front desk to report the problem, but the young lady working there was rude and un helpful.
I asked to speak to the manager ,and was told the manager was off that day, i found it hard to believe that a hotel would not have a manager or assistant manager, on staff to handle situations like this. She said she would call the manager, so we waited about 15 minutes
When she returned ,she simply told us that if we didn.t want to stay ,they would refund our money. she made no effort to find us another room or offer any assistance whatsoever.
What made the situation even more disappointing was that a young man working there told us the hotel owned two other hotels nearby. He thought the manager might be able to help us find a room at one of those locations. However ,to his surprise, the only instruction the manager gave was to refund our money.
We were left to find another place on our own with no help from the hotel despite the circumstances. This was especially frustrating given the condition of the room and the lack of professionalism and customer service we received .
I also reported the issue to the city of Galveston because I believe the condition of the room and the way this was handled need to be addressed.
A refund does not make up for the inconvenience ,frustration, and stress of having to find another hotel ,especially when you are traveling and need a place to stay. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to both the hotel's cleanliness and its customer service

We got there the night before a cruise and they didn’t have a room ready for us till 330. We were hoping to get a early check-in, but that’s OK. The hallways are really banged up and most of the doors are scratched in the paints coming off and it looks pretty rough. Once we got in the room. It was decent. It was clean. The bed was comfortable and it was actually very quiet. It probably wouldn’t be my choice again down here, but it wasn’t bad.
