Worked for us!!! Right across from the beach! And about 10-15 min walk to the pier. The room was just a room, nothing spectacular, two full size beds, small bathroom, fridge and microwave available. We literally only slept and showered there, we’re were hardly in the room. It does have a small pool on the property (we didn’t get in it), but if your looking for a hotel with all these amenities… this isn’t it.. “ continental breakfast “ consisted of coffee and mini muffins. BUT there is an amazing place Galveston Bagel company 5 mins away.
We didn’t encounter staff too much , just check in and check out , which was a smooth process. They changed our towels after the first night but didn’t clean our rooms , we didn’t really need it.

the location is great! The woman who works the desk acts like she is being interrupted when it was time to check in as well as when we asked for new towels. We had to wait for room service to bring them to us that was late afternoon . I would have paid more money and stayed else where.

The location on the seawall across from the beach is great. The property is a little run down but not terrible. The rooms are efficient and ours was clean, A/C worked fine. Staff was pleasant enough but not overly friendly.
The reason we would not recommend is because we were awoken at 1:30 by loud yelling, banging and running up and down the corridor by what sounded like 4 or 5 people. It lasted a few minutes. we would have called the desk if it lasted longer. We were a bit startled and concerned about our vehicle as we heard some banging in the parking lot. Not sure if they were registered guests or came off the street but it was a little scary for a few minutes. Informed Patrick at desk when we checked out. Safety/security is more important than a good rate so we will pay more at a different hotel next time.
