Highland Resort Hotel & Spa

There was something wrong with my room and R. Takano made accommodations so my family can have a better experience. The hotel is interconnected with the Fuji Onsen. It snowed that day we went. It was magical sitting in the natural hot spring with the snow falling on you. The hotel is dated but very clean. The breakfast is very basic but it did have a fresh omelet and onigiri station. Made by 2 very friendly elders. The buffet room view had STUNNING view of mount fuji. The hotel is huge and is literally a 2 minute walking path to the amusement park. We didnt go because we have an infant. We booked the 2 twin size bed and it worked fine with our infant. One thing is when we arrived, no one came out to help us with our luggages and when my husband went in to get the luggage cart himself, a staff followed him but he didnt greet us or make eye contact or helped my husband with the luggage. He only stood by the cart, looking into the distance. Other than that, most of the staff was friendly. Book the mountain view. The window is not that big but it was worth every penny.

Very clean room, friendly staff and great food nearby. If you’re looking to hit the FujiQ Highland theme park, this is your best option.

Amazing view of Mt. Fuji. Room was clean. Onsen was clean and with many great baths. All staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was varied – Japanese, Western, as well as many other types. It’s a bit out of the way and not in neither Fujikawaguchiko nor Fujiyoshida. We took the bus directly to the door of the hotel from Tokyo (which was great when arriving late!) – but we had already planned to rent a car to get around, so we knew the location wasn’t going to be a problem for us.
