Motel 6 Flagstaff, AZ - Butler

Close to the freeway close to dining. Check-in was fast and easy. They do it through the kiosk video. Would recommend good value stayed a Sunday paid $***.

I was only in the room just to shower and sleep. No signs of bed bugs, the shower kind of sucked but it worked.

First off, the front lady asked me what room we want, top or bottom. I chose bottom and she goes "idk if the room is clean or not" and we had a conversation about it apparently the housekeeper and front lady don't have any way of communicating of what rooms are clean or dirty. So, we went to our room. As we walked in the room was trashed up. Dirty, like someone had just recently left. I called the front and told her our room is dirty and she told us she figured and that the top rooms are clean so we agreed upon and "ima be back in the front to claim my keys for it." I went back to the front office. She didn't know whether the top rooms she was going to arrange us in were cleaned or not. So she had to make her rounds and see what rooms are reserved and clean. She came back 10 min later and told me the room she is going to arrange us in is currently being cleaned out. Give it 20 min. My partner and I both waited inside our car while the housekeeper was cleaning our room on the second floor. Honestly I don't know how long we waited but it felt like forever and I was tired from being at work since 4 a.m. once she finished we both unloaded our car to the room. Settled in. Mind you the room was very clean but hot. We tried cooling down but idk if the vent was backed up but my boyfriend had to rearrange it. An hr and a half in the landline was ringing and it was the front lady. She called to see if we settled in fine and that if our sink was backed up or not. My boyfriend didn't know it was backed up he thought it was draining fine for us so she told him if we have any problems with it she can arrange us back in the bottom room we recommended. Once he got off the phone he told me what she said and I pointed out the sink isn't draining at all. It halfway flooded. So I had called her back and told her about it and she's gonna get maintenance on it tomorrow (friday) I asked if we could move to the other room. She comes to my room hands us the keys, we basically switched keys. We loaded up the car and moved in the bottom room. Mind you this room is facing the sun as it settles it was extremely hot in the room. We set the ac to cool and waited more than 30 min for it to kick in but it wasn't cooling down and I had already unpacked. My boyfriend was not comfortable at all and he wanted to nap but couldn't. He was already looking for another motel to settle in and I was already calling the company we booked our room in, for a refund because this is ridiculous. Also, we were very generous and cleaned up our area in the first room and the second. All the housekeeper had to do was changed the bedding. We brought our little cleaning supplies. So. We went to front office lady and I explained to her why we are leaving and that she did what she could to help us, I thank her multiple times but her moody attitude and told me two rooms she arranged us in and we still isnt satisfied. I didn't let that bother me and I contacted agoda for the refund. Again I'm sorry we were a problem but they need serious work on the rooms. Maintenance it up more and think about the customer stay.
