Staffs were helpful. The heater in my room didn’t work and it was freezing in my room. I didn’t get the room change but one staff gave me a blanket. The second time I said one blanket was not changed the temperature in my room. The night staff offered me a small heater and a big blanket. We would leave and get a new hotel if there were any hotel near by available. My husband was a bit sick too. It’s a nightmare for us.

I should have read the reviews because the rooms have no A/C and it was over 90°F (over 32°C) during my stay. The A/C is controlled by the front desk so we were suffocating in our room. Felt like it was turned off around 3am because I woke up and the room was super hot again. That alone is enough to ruin the trip! Additionally, the sink was clogged. I let the front desk know as we were leaving for the day that the sink was draining very slow and they said they would take a look at it. We came back and it was the same. We ended up brushing our face and teeth in the shower because it was so bad. I would avoid this place unless there is nothing else.

Hotel is slightly misleading, when you enter the lobby it seems to give that "expensive" feeling but entering the room it seems very opposite. We had found our door already openeded, there was an odd smell from the bathroom, our light had a humming noise after being turned on for five minutes or so, similar to being in a ER room and hearing equipment on. There was a hole in our room, looked like someone had yanked the phone socket off the wall. Price to room seemed okay though I wouldn't say it gives you a "nice feeling". (It seemed everywhere near this Hotel or around Venice hotels were very poor quality and this one was decent enough which I'd still agree with).

This is the worst stay I ever booked on hotels.com. I dont even know where to start with this review. No vegan/vegitarian option in the buffet. Despite asking not to disturb, room service still showed up. Elevator is for name sake and cannot fit single person with luggage. Sleeping with blinds, shutters and drapes still feels like sleeping on the street in this hotel. Bed and other furniture passed its usable age long back but it is still not replaced. Tap in the bathroom kept leaking whole night long adding to noise. Although I am used to Chicago cold, but thanks to the pathetic heater in this hotel I was cold whole night.

This property had no heating the temperature was down to 14 when I asked they said they don’t turn the heating on till end of October and it’s only half away. They’re coffee machine was broken so I asked for a kettle but they want deposit that should have been free to all clients as they have been unable to buy coffee the room photographed on Expedia site does not matches with this hotel we had 2 rooms booked was damp bed bugs leaking shower the extractor fan broken I have got flue virus after staying there after confronting they said The hotel room photo they have on Expedia is for a different hotel they own

The service was poor, the toom was mediocre Not worth the money, the property needs a lot if work ,our shower was dripping all night ask the front desk and they said just put a towel so you dont here the noise did that so short a towel asked gor amother and they tried yo charge me for it, also rooms are nit cleaned everyday If you there gor less than 3 nights terrible would not recommend the hotel.

Try to find a better spot , it served its purpose for two nights , the manager controls the AC in your rooms and they charge $150 for a crappy cappuccino for a machine. Rooms were dirty beds were meh at best. I hate to leave bad reviews but this run down hotel needs some updates , a coat of paint and a cleaning rag would probably bring this place up a star or two

I'm used to a European standard where not everyone goes above and beyond to help when it comes to customer service, but she made it clear that she was annoyed with anything we asked of her. In addition to the other horrible things we asked of her (like checking us in), I asked if she could help me schedule a taxi for the next morning to take us to the airport. She said "No, no taxis come here that early. But we have a 'private' taxi that will take you for 50 euros cash. You have to walk down to the closest ATM which is 30 minutes away to get cash, because we do not take a card." I thought this was strange since it's 10 minutes from the airport, and I know taxis run all time of day or night. I just looked online (which I should have done to begin with) and scheduled one to come the next morning. BTW, it was only 35 euros, and they take a card. I'm guessing the 'private taxi' was her cousin, and she wanted some extra cash. There was NO air, and it was really hot in the room, the shower curtain was gross, and we were awakened all night every time ANYONE in the building flushed their toilet. My advice: Pay an extra 10 euros, and go somewhere else, PLEASE.

I wish to warn future guests at the Hotel Ariston not to use their card for any purchase in the Hotel like coffee, tea, water or breakfast etc. The people who run this Hotel Ariston use these facilities which you have to pay by card to get your details to overcharge their hotel guests. Both my wife and I were overcharge EUR€ 35.00 each on our respective cards. It was a cheap stay but the location is pretty misleading and is not a two minute walk into town and is a half hour or so journey into centre Venice as well as a 20 minute journey to airport. The staff were pretty rude and unhelpful except for one local receptionist with short hair who was really helpful and she was genuinely kind. It became a running joke with my partner that they didn’t have anything available such as ice or cutlery even though they have a kitchen out back. The walls were pretty dirty and slightly mouldy and the taps would drip and toilet constantly run which keeps you up. Air con is on but unable to control as comes from hall way. It’s cheap and ok for a short stay if that’s what you’re after. We took the 8E bus to mestre centro then the tram or 4L bus to Venice and the same back. Make sure to pay for a ticket each trip as there’s a large fine of €50 each. Make sure to get off at the stop after the Lidl on the way back or there’s a long walk. The bus drivers are extremely unhelpful and will just say they’re going your route even if they don’t understand.
