Cold air from outside was coming in through gap in heating/cooling unit. Road noise was also an issue. Requested a room change, but none were available.

The front desk attendant almost charged me double. One of the reasons we stayed at this hotel was for the hot tub, which was closed. And in the room next to us, abnormally loud thuds happened all night that sounded like they were moving furniture. Was not the stress free restful vacation I was hoping for.

The first room we were assigned was not cleaned. The front desk assigned us to a new room. It was clean except for behind the door of the bathroom floor. Overall, our stay was very nice and we would stay again.

The King Size mattress was terrible. hard and noicey when you moved around. You need update the mattresses to all for cormfort not the cheepist. Food was okay, nice variety. the utensals were very fimsy. Had to cut and pick-up food when the fork or knife bends. Please use a stronger plastic untensals. Location was great!

The hotel accommodations were generally typical for this chain and were fine. What we didn’t like was being woken up at 5am by the sound of dripping water hitting our air conditioner from the one above. No one could sleep through it (2 kids and two adults) and it was the result of a maintenance issue. We were all grumpy and sleep deprived as a result. Then we noticed the sign on the door that said the maximum they were allowed to charge for the room. We had paid over $100 more. I felt like I had been ripped off. IANAL, but I’m pretty sure that info is posted by law to prevent price gouging. The final straw was that, because of sleep deprivation, we left behind our daughter’s stuffed giraffe that her grandmother had given her the day she was born. The hotel has not been able to find it. We are heartbroken. Where could it possibly have gone? If they just found the giraffe, we could get over it. But as it is, we will always remember our stay there as being unpleasant.

I believe it was a busy weekend so the staff seemed a bit worn from that. The indoor pool/hot tub which was a main draw for the short trip was non-operational with the stafg not able to provide a timeline. The room itself was nicely appointed and clean. It os a bit outside of downtown Fort Bragg and not really a walkable distance. It is about a mile to the ocean and great Northern California coast. Due to the weekend being busy no accommodation was provided for either an early check in after a long drive, nor a late checl out after the Snunk train.

Beautiful area, the front desk staff was rude, when we had an issue with the fireplace control knob and not being able to shut the fireplace off so that we didn’t overheat at night. We went to the front desk to report and show the broken knob to the front desk. The guy literally accused us of breaking the knob and was rude and basically called us liars. There was no room for us to change to and he was unwilling to help. Really surprised us because and disappointed us

Checkin around 2:10pm. Nobody was at front desk for almost 10mins. Couldn’t find my reservation went back and forth asking name. Front desk Jennifer was telling me I was too early for checkin. Other than that every thing else was great.
