Beautiful setting at the edge of the desert - six camps are set up - next to each others - each camp works with multiple agencies - so you may end up with other groups from other agencies in the same camp. The address given in Zagora is the office - NOT the camp. You have to go to the office first - as the camp will require a guide to go on a dirt road in the desert to get to the camp. Try to have dinner in town before showing up at the office to check in - the food is quite limited there. Once at the camp - remember to dress for the weather - the camps have very limited insulation - so freezing in the winter.

If you contact them, they can arrange a nice 1 hour long camel ride in the dunes for you located about half an hour away from bivouacs which we liked very much. We were astonished by the view of the sky at night (we could see the milky way and many many shooting stars). You won't be in the deep Sahara but it was perfect for our group since we got there with cars and could park our cars near the bivouacs. They had toilets with a toilet bowl and seat so we were pleasantly surprised with the amenities they were able to provide in the desert. The food was so good and so generous...we would go back anytime!
