    iuve been staying in barcelona for 20 years and love the chic basic born but this time tried Velvet becuase i wanted to be closer to Sants. loved the honesty bar and garden terrace, room was comfy and quiet enough, staff polite and helpful but not very cheerful. if it was my hotel i would want a few more smiles please. maybe they need a pay rise or a holiday. hotel suited my needs 100% and i will stay again.

    This hotel has great location, staff and service but the old facility gave away its goodness. The interior of the building is decorated nice but I had to wake up from clicking noise from the thermostat 3 times first night. I requested to change the room for the 2nd night but no other rooms was available. The front staff advised to set the thermostat certain way to prevent the noise but that didn’t help. I woke up twice 2nd night and I stopped the AC and opened the window instead for the fresh air. Outside below our window was the hotel lounge patio. Somebody was smoking pot and the strong smell came into our room and I had to close the window too. I could not rest well in this hotel unfortunately.
