not the most central for tourists but walking distance to underground. Room clean tidy, AC works, older hotel but not an issue. Staff very helpful and friendly even if you don't speak the language. Didnt book breakfast but options nearby. i would stay again.

I booked this hotel for my final night before a long haul flight back to New Zealand, expecting a luxurious five star experience based on how the property is marketed and described online. The reality did not align with that description. I had requested a non smoking, high floor room and an airport transfer. Despite the transfer being clearly stated on the reservation with my flight details, there was no one at the airport and no communication from the hotel. Multiple emails went unanswered. On arrival at the hotel, I was told they do not check the email address listed on their own website and documents. No meaningful explanation was offered. Check in was slow and impersonal. There was no sense of welcome or service you would associate with a five star property. I was assigned a smoking room despite requesting non smoking. While staff said this would not be an issue, the room clearly showed long term smoking use, including an ashtray, yellowed fittings, and visible wear. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the condition was tired and dated, more in line with an older motel than a luxury hotel. Wallpaper was peeling, flooring was heavily marked, and the overall space felt worn rather than premium. Noise was a major issue. Sound insulation was extremely poor. I could hear every movement from the room above, corridor noise, and constant traffic outside, even with the window closed. I have stayed in many hotels internationally, including lower rated properties, and this was among the worst for noise. Staff interactions throughout were cold and dismissive. Even basic expectations such as complimentary drinking water were not met, with additional water being charged despite the tap water not being drinkable. This stay might be acceptable for someone on a heavily discounted one night stop with very low expectations, possibly for nearby medical appointments. It is not suitable for anyone seeking a genuine five star experience. The main issue is not just the condition of the hotel, but the clear misrepresentation of what it currently offers and the lack of service culture.
